Prior to founding EMA Business and Management Consultancy Ltd (EMA) Anne held four wide ranging Director roles in the housing, not for profit and private sector. Since its inception in 2006 EMA has worked directly with over 300 clients throughout the UK.
She has extensive experience of the following: governance; major culture and change management assignments; non executive and executive search and selection; organisational development; remuneration and reward; complex employee relations cases; coaching; developing and implementing talent management programmes; and, leading on outplacement programmes.
Anne has published research and written articles for the national press on a range of organisational development issues and she is asked to chair and present at OD conferences on a regular basis. Anne has a BA (Hons) degree and is a Member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development. She is qualified to BPS Levels A and B; an accredited WAVE; Myers Briggs and FIRO B Practitioner.
Nina brings a wealth of experience and knowledge about the organisation and administrative procedures of HR and executive search and selection.
With more than 15 years experience of working in HR and executive search and selection, prior to joining EMA, Nina was a senior administrator for a national HR and executive selection consultancy. At the beginning of her career Nina worked for ten years in a training consultancy. Here she was responsible for organising staff training for a range of private sector organisations.
As Consultancy Manager, Nina’s key role is the management and organisation of executive search and selection. She is first point of contact at EMA and strives to build and maintain strong relationships with clients. She is able to use her wide range of skills to provide the ultimate in customer service.
With more than twenty years’ experience, within the field of HR and Customer Service, Lorna is highly skilled in qualitative and quantitative research, in-depth market & statistical analysis, report writing, administration, recruitment & selection, front line customer service and staff training & development.
Prior to joining EMA Lorna worked for a national HR and executive selection consultancy and before moving to consultancy work Lorna managed more than 50 staff for a leading leisure business. She is able to use her wide range of skills to provide the ultimate in customer service.
She is qualified to deliver occupational psychometric testing to support organisations in recruiting the right candidate and has been involved in a variety of selection assessment centres. Lorna is an Associate Member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development.
Lorna also holds the voluntary position as Secretary of the Birmingham City Centre Neighbourhood Forum.
Ian has worked in senior HR and Customer Service positions within the private and public sector. He has considerable experience of the full breath of HR issues including: TUPE transfers and due diligence work, leading on the HR aspects of transformation / change, modernisation of HR and efficiency activities, designing and implementing performance management schemes, leading strategic HR management reorganisation, restructures and redundancy, salary and reward projects including market pay benchmarking and implementing job evaluation schemes. Ian also has extensive experience of negotiating and working with Trade Unions particularly related to salary and contractual negotiations, reorganisations and Health and Safety.
Before joining EMA Ian worked at Capita PLC within their business transformation division and previous to that he was a member of the Tribal housing team. Ian’s experience at Capita meant that he worked across different employment sectors and can bring this experience, particularly around business transformation/design and developing shared services solution.
Ian is degree qualified, a Chartered Member of the Institute of Personnel and Development, and a certified master practitioner of NLP. He is registered with the British Psychological Society to use a range of psychometrics for assessment and development purposes including Saville WAVE.
Outside has day work Ian is also a Parish Councillor within North Yorkshire and a committee member of a Community Association.
Pauline draws on 25 years management experience, with the last 12 years of her career in consultancy. She has led a wide range of consultancy assignments in the public, private and not for profit sector, latterly with emphasis on the housing sector.
Her areas of expertise include board and executive assessment and selection, coaching and leadership development, career management and outplacement. She has a wealth of experience in using psychometric measures and uses her insights to advise selection panels on the style and fit of candidates for senior appointments. Clients in both specialist/technical and generalist roles have benefitted from the independent and external source of support and challenge she provides, often at times of change. She has facilitated impactful group workshops ranging from improving team-working and communication with the MBTI, to Away Days and highly practical competency-based interview skills training and outplacement programmes.
Pauline is degree-qualified, a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development and a Member of the Institute of Directors. She is registered with the British Psychological Society, to use a range of psychometric instruments for assessment and development including the Myers Briggs Type Indicator Steps 1 & 2, the OPQ, Wave Professional Styles and 360 degree feedback.
Wendy provides research services for EMA and in particular manages our extensive remuneration database. She also provides office support for EMA.
With more than 20 years administration and secretarial experience, during which time many of those were within Human Resources, Wendy’s previous experience along with her methodical and thorough approach helps enables her to provide high level research services.
Wendy has worked across various sectors which includes the private and public sector. She has worked for large multi-national businesses, along with small new start-up businesses where she has been responsible for putting structures and procedures in place and setting up HR systems.
Yvonne has over 25 years’ experience within the field of HR. During that time, she has held a number of management roles up to Director level within a range of organisations including the ‘not for profit’ sector, higher and further education, local government and the health service. She has also previously spent almost five years as a Freelance Consultant undertaking assignments in both the public and commercial sectors. Yvonne has spent the last five years in a strategic business partnering role in a prestigious London University before returning to consultancy.
Yvonne’s extensive experience has encompassed managing a wide spectrum of HR activities including strategy development, change management, employee relations, recruitment and selection, leadership development, coaching and mentoring. She has a strong commitment to equality and inclusion and has played a pivotal role in assisting several of her former employers gain organisation wide accreditations.
Yvonne is also an experienced workplace mediator and has successfully completed several assignments concerning conflict resolution in the workplace. Additionally, she is qualifying in using psychometric instruments and has been involved in a number of selection assessment centres.
Yvonne is qualified to Masters’ Level and is an accredited workplace mediator. She holds two ongoing public office and regulatory roles in both legal and quasi-legal settings.
